If you are concerned about your own or a family member’s addiction, including alcohol dependency, drug and gambling addictions, then we welcome you to contact our admissions team here at Smarmore Castle. Deciding to seek help can be a hard step to take, but we will support you at every step, providing the information and guidance that you need.Every patient receives a free pre-admission assessment.
Rehab Admission: Referral and Funding
Initial contact and referral does not need to come through a patient’s GP or psychiatrist – it can be from the patient themselves, or from a family member even an employer or other relevant professional.
We admit patients from Ireland, the EU, the UK and around the world. Patients either pay for treatment privately, or through medical insurance, or else a statutory funder such as their national health system. Once the type of funding has been established, then the admission process can begin.
Free Pre-Admission Assessment
Every person considering admission receives a free pre-admission assessment over the phone before entering treatment. This takes place with one of our therapists or doctors and assesses the complexity of the case and the suitability of the person for treatment.
Self-funded clients from the Republic of Ireland may qualify to claim tax relief on the cost of their health expenses. These can be their own health expenses, those of a family member or any individual’s, as long as they were paid for by the applicant claiming relief.
